What documents do I need to rent out a property?
As a landlord of a property, you are obliged to provide a number of legally required certificates, documents and inspection certificates. If you do not have these documents, you cannot let the property.
If you draw up a rental contract after 1 January 2019, you must take into account the Flemish Housing Decree. This contains all the information on rental contracts.
If you drew up a rental contract before 2019, you had to base yourself on the information from the federal Rent Act.
